DINING IN THE ROMAN FASHION

This informative and light hearted talk presents an overview of Roman dining habits.  Over the course of the talk you will discover some of the fascinating aspects of dining in the Roman fashion including a brief look at the variety of wines available to the Roman diner.

COOKING IN THE ROMAN STYLE

By the end of this richly illustrated talk you will be eager to cook a Roman style banquet of your own.  Covering sources of information, ingredients, equipment and techniques this talk is all you need to introduce you to the fascinating world of Roman cuisine.

EXCAVATIONS AT BROMLEY HALL FARM, MUCH HADHAM

Between 1964 and 1969 a series of excavations, carried out at Bromley Hall Farm under the Directorship of Bernard Barr and Kay Hartley, uncovered a series of Romano-British pottery kilns.  This talk, which uses many original images of the excavations from the Barr archive, presents an overview of the excavations along with a discussion of the Hadham Ware pottery industry.
